Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team for an upcoming Rail Project. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a challenging and rewarding role at a growing organisation

We are seeking an experienced professional with senior engineering experience, combined with particular skills:

Formally Qualified with Degree, 5 years experience, appropriate sentinel and rail competencies

Membership of relevant professional body desirable

Experience of working on Network Rail projects, familiarisation of NR standards and the Asset Management Process (AMP) desirable

CSCS – White Card

Personal Track Safety

Experience of civils construction works in a rail environment and working in possessions / blockades essential

Experience of earthwork renewals / soil nailing desirable

Familiarisation with Adjacent Line Open (ALO) working practices desirable

Undertaking the role of Construction CRE desirable

Experience of undertaking Responsible Manager Role and accepting Safe Work Packs desirable

Experience of design and construction contracts essential

You should have excellent communication and management skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and efficient in demanding situations.

You will be tasked with taking responsibility for the efficient and timely completion of projects, managing onsite contractors and ensuring projects are business–critical and meet safety regulations. You will also coordinate with the relevant parties in order to ensure that quality and safety standards are adhered to, as well as ensure health and safety regulations are observed at all times.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant trade qualification, experience of working in the Rail industry, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of technical and safety processes.
