Quality Engineer Precision Engineering

Location: Hailsham, East Sussex

Are you a driven Quality Engineer with a passion for root cause analysis and continuous improvement?

Join a leading precision engineering company where your skills will make a direct impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.

As a Quality Engineer, you'll take ownership of non–conformances, returns, and customer complaints while using problem–solving tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams to improve processes and eliminate recurring issues. This hands–on role suits someone confident with quality systems, root cause analysis, and supplier quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to manufactured product and purchased parts Investigate non–conformances, customer returns and complaints using structured methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto Own and manage the RMA process to ensure best–in–class response and resolution Administer NCR, ECN and CAR processes from containment through to corrective action and resolution Support supplier qualification and ensure robust QA practices are maintained Perform inspection duties, including use of CMM or Faro Arm, when required About You:

5+ years in a manufacturing quality role, ideally in a precision engineering or vacuum science environment Highly analytical, with strong problem–solving capabilities Hands–on experience with metrology equipment such as CMM or Faro Arm Confident using tools like 8D, Ishikawa, Kaizen, 5S/6S, and VSM Skilled at working across functions with engineering, operations, and suppliers Qualifications:

Degree–qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) ONC/HNC or professional Quality qualification preferred If you're looking to take your next step in quality and join a company where precision matters, we want to hear from you.
