Location: Cheltenham

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: 36,000 – 40,000

As a Production CNC / Design Engineer, you will:

Enhance manufacturing methods for existing productsCollaborate with manufacturing teams on new product designsInvestigate quality issues and implement effective solutionsDrive 5S initiatives in manufacturing and machine buildingContribute to R&D projects to expand expertiseDesign tools, fixtures, and machine parts using SolidWorks 3D CADGenerate CNC programmes with SolidCAM software and oversee implementationDevelop new tooling solutions and engineering practicesanalyse and resolve operational production issuesTrain staff on new methods and processesAssist sales and manufacturing with feasibility reviewsLiaise with customers and distributors on technical queriesProvide technical support to the sales desk as neededCreate costing models for new business opportunitiesEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Proven experience in CNC programming and designProficiency in SolidWorks and SolidCAM softwareStrong problem–solving skills and initiativeExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work collaboratively within a team and independentlyDesirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Experience in honing technologies or related fieldsFamiliarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principlesBackground in tooling development and production improvementTechnologies:
