Description
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing and signing off Approval in Principle (AIP) documents and other technical aspects of bridge engineering projectsOverseeing and conducting bridge assessments and their reviewsProviding technical design input and validating the integrity of bridge structuresSigning off on highways–related documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standardsCollaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are metWriting technical reports and appropriate documentationDiscussing and potentially expanding or reducing the scope of the technical role as neededAssisting in the transition of responsibilities within the team
Job Requirements:
Chartered Engineer Strong background in bridge engineering and structural analysisExpertise in reviewing and signing off AIP documentsExperience with bridge assessments and structural reviewsProficiency in technical design within the highways industryExcellent report writing and communication skillsFlexibility to work 2–3 days per weekIdeally, be reasonably local to Leicester
