Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market–leading Energy company, to recruit for a Planning Engineer to join their Energy from Waste Power Station in Glasgow, Scotland.

The vital Planning Engineer role comes with a basic salary of 45,408 + up to 10% bonus + private medical + other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Maintenance Planning which will involve scheduling the sites planned and planned maintenance and project activitiesLead weekly and daily planning process and meetings, issuing agreed maintenance plans for upcoming weeksContinuous development of the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Outage planning by bringing together the Engineer's scopes and reports into one outage scope or reportAttend CDM and outage meetingsAct as supervisor for the stores function of the facility ensuring that there are enough spares on siteFull list of roles and responsibilities can be provided upon request

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Ideally an NVQ Level 3 minimum qualification in an engineering discipline A formal health and safety qualification will be desirable

Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge

The Planning Engineer role would suit someone who has:

Prior experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) including continuous developmentPrior experience working in a heavy process engineering environment (Power, Paper Mills, Steel, Cement, Petrochemical, etc)Experience with safe systems of work procedures (ssow)Royal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers would be encouraged to apply as well
