Location: Surrey, UK

Salary: GBP45,000 – GBP55,000 per annum

An established and forward–thinking aerospace engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to play a key role in large aircraft modification projects. Working within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation, you'll be part of a multi–disciplinary, international team delivering innovative, compliant, and cost–effective engineering solutions for global airline partners.

Role Overview –

Reporting to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager, you will:

Lead and contribute to design activities ensuring compliance with regulatory and design requirements. Oversee certification activities for large aircraft modifications, including on–wing test witnessing. Create and review engineering documentation such as wiring diagrams, installation drawings, service bulletins, and ICA supplements. Prepare certification documents, including electrical load analysis, compliance statements, test plans, EWIS documentation, and safety assessments. Act as the engineering representative in customer meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and provide on–site support during project embodiment phases. Collaborate across multiple time zones with global engineering teams, customers, and subcontractors. Occasional national and international travel will be required.

Key Requirements –

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Avionics, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering. Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in an EASA Design Organisation (or equivalent). Strong working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements (EASA CS–25, FAR–25, JAR–25, (E)TSO). Experience with aircraft interior and/or avionic modifications. Demonstrated ability to manage complex modification projects. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work on multiple programmes simultaneously. Desirable:

Current or recent appointment as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for electrical, avionics, or software disciplines. Mentoring or coaching experience. Familiarity with OEM data systems for specifications and standards. About You
