Description
Overview:
This role will focus on disabled persons' parking, Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), and other parking schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement parking layouts and infrastructure solutions.Deliver the disabled person's parking programme and assist with CPZ and other parking schemes.Conduct site assessments and develop effective parking designs.Prepare detailed CAD and GIS–based design drawings and documentation.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and client needs.Engage with the public through consultations and events, including occasional evening and weekend work.Manage project timelines and ensure milestones are met.Provide technical support and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in parking and traffic design.Strong proficiency in CAD and GIS software.Understanding of local government operations and the political environment (private sector experience also considered).Experience in public engagement and consultation.Relevant qualification in engineering or a related discipline.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ideally holds a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car.
