Paint Prepper

Based: Kent

Level 1: GBP26,492.28 - GBP31,433.64

Full-Time: Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week

Shifts: Choice of two shifts

6 30 or 7 30 (Mon to Thur) 6 30 or 7 30 (Friday) A great opportunity for a Paint Prepper to join a thriving manufacturing environment, supporting the surface preparation of components prior to wet painting. This role suits someone with excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work hands-on with various tools and processes.

As a Paint Prepper, your main responsibilities will include:

Preparing fabricated parts by drilling, fettling, filling, sanding, sealing, masking, and degreasing Operating power tools and shot blasting equipment (training provided) Handling and positioning components for priming, painting, and transfer Ensuring components meet cleanliness and preparation standards Maintaining clean workstations and performing basic preventative maintenance

Following all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements Supporting lean initiatives and 5S housekeeping routines

What you ll need to succeed:

Strong attention to detail with visual inspection capability Confident using power tools and handling metal components Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina Excellent communication and teamworking skills Ability to work independently and follow set processes A proactive approach to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
