We're working with a leading name in their sector, known for commitment to quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. With significant investment in new equipment and a busy production environment, we are now seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to strengthen the on-site engineering team.

Maintenance Engineer - The Role In this role you will play a vital part in keeping production equipment running smoothly and safely. You will be the first point of call for electrical breakdowns, but you'll also contribute across a range of engineering activities including planned maintenance and improvement projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Rapid response to electrical breakdowns, ensuring downtime is minimised.

Supporting continuous improvement and assisting with equipment upgrades.

Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks to keep machinery and site services reliable.

Working on electrical installations, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.

Providing input into safety procedures and ensuring compliance with standards.

Collaborating with colleagues to diagnose faults and implement permanent solutions.

Recording maintenance activities and supporting documentation requirements.

Maintenance Engineer - About You You will be a qualified Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced production setting. A flexible approach and willingness to work across disciplines will be key.

We're looking for:

Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition).

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.

Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults on complex machinery.

Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and electrical control equipment.

A good understanding of mechanical systems or the appetite to develop multi-skilled capabilities.

Strong awareness of health & safety and safe systems of work,
