An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Engineer to join the Gilder Hire team. You will be based at our purpose-built workshop in Teddington, Tewkesbury. We are a well-established family run business, specialising in the hire of Shunting TUGS across the UK working with some of the leading and largest hauliers. In this role, you will prepare vehicles for hire and assist in the maintenance and servicing of our fleet of over 160 shunters (Tugs).
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team of engineers, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience working with HGV
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Heavy Goods Mechanics Qualification of Level 3 standard or equivalent
Electrical and hydraulic experience preferred but not essential
Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a positive can-do attitude
A strong team player
Organised but flexible in your approach
A good communicator
Accurate when producing written records.
Accurate with stock control
