Description
We're looking for a Fabric Engineer to join our Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team based in Cambridgeshire.
Location: Cambridgeshire
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for? As a Fabric Engineer, you'll be working within the Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team, supporting them in maintaining safe, operational, and high-quality environments across a variety of public service buildings.
Your day to day will include:
Surveying and assessing building fabric elements across multiple facilities to identify issues and recommend maintenance or improvements
Supporting delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborating with site teams and clients to ensure smooth delivery of works and exceptional customer service
Producing reports and recommendations for minor works, scoping requirements in line with contractual KPIs
Ensuring all work adheres to statutory requirements and internal policies

You have proven experience in a fabric-biased maintenance or surveying role
You hold a valid driving licence and are flexible to travel across sites
You can work independently and manage a varied workload, including contributing to emergency response rotas
