Design Manager

Description

Our client, partnering with a Strategic Delivery Partner on the Southern Water AMP8 Infrastructure Framework, is currently seeking a Civils Design Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital for delivering major water infrastructure projects across the Southern Water region.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the design delivery of critical infrastructure schemes from concept through to deliveryManaging multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are metEnsuring compliance with technical standards, budget, and programme requirementsOverseeing the production of design documentationCollaborating with internal teams and external stakeholdersConducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategiesProviding technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycleEnsuring quality control and adherence to project specifications

Job Requirements:

Experience in civil engineering, specifically within the water sectorStrong knowledge of civil design principles and relevant softwareProficiency in managing multidisciplinary teamsUnderstanding of project management processes and technical standardsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work effectively in a hybrid/flexible working environmentRelevant engineering degree or equivalent qualificationExperience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
