Hiring CNC Offline Programmer – Permanent Position Livingston

Our prestigious client, a global leader in the aerospace and energy markets, is looking to add an experienced CNC Offline Programmer to their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Engineering Manager in day–to–day operations and project execution.

Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Ensure all work meets internal and external customer expectations for quality and delivery.

Display flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic engineering environment.

Technical Duties:

Analyse technical drawings and 3D models for the creation of CNC programs.

Use CAD/CAM software to model cutting paths and program machines, optimising for efficiency.

Perform quality assurance checks to ensure finished parts meet specifications.

Adjust machine settings or cutting paths to optimise performance while maintaining quality.

Determine and set up appropriate tooling for machining operations.

Troubleshoot and resolve machine or programming issues.

Support and mentor new team members in CNC machine setup and operation.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in CNC programming within a manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings and 3D models.

Competent in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or process issues.

Comfortable working independently or as part of a team to meet targets.

Experience with Creo software is advantageous.

Previous involvement in CNC program optimisation is a plus.
