Job title: CNC Miller Programmer

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Job type: Temp–Perm

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am–4.30pm

Rate: GBP16– GBP20ph dependant on experience

AMLR is proud to be working in partnership with a leading subcontract engineering specialist based in Gloucestershire. Operating from a 50,000 sq. ft. facility, the company delivers high–precision CNC machining, sheet–metal fabrication, laser cutting, and large welded fabrications for the aerospace, nuclear, and technology sectors. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they support both bespoke one–off projects and high–volume production.

They are currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and time–served CNC Miller Programmer to join their experienced team.

Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of the sectors our client supplies to, all applicants must be UK residents.

Key Responsibilities:

5–axis CNC milling Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines Tool changes, program proving, and G–code familiarity Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls Routine maintenance of CNC equipment to ensure performance and longevity Use of hand tools for assembly and adjustment of components Working collaboratively with the engineering team to troubleshoot and improve processes Efficient handling and storage of materials within the workshop/warehouse environment Accurate documentation of machine settings and programme changes

Qualifications and Skills:

Completed Apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualification (preferred) Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience
