Location: South CambridgeshireSalary: CompetitiveJob Type: Temporary/FTC (6 – 9 Months)We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Fitter/SMW to join a highly respected Aviation business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in structural repairs and modifications, particularly on various aircraft components such as Flight Control Surfaces, Engine Inlets, and more.

Day–to–day of the role:

Fabrication and installation of flush repair doublers on inlet and flight control leading edge skins.Replacement of inlet lip skin segments and flight control surface skin panels.Removal and replacement of sub–assemblies, whether riveted or bolted.Ensure full compliance with all technical documentation, including SRM (Structural Repair Manual) and CMM (Component Maintenance Manual).Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high–quality structural repairs in line with aviation standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Aircraft Fitter/SMW, with a focus on structural repairs and modifications.Familiarity with aviation components such as Flight Control Surfaces, Engine Inlets, Fan Cowls, Thrust Reversers, Landing Gear, and PAX Doors.Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as SRM and CMM.Strong technical skills in fabrication and installation of aircraft components.Excellent problem–solving skills and attention to detail.
