We will always give you honest trustworthy advice on your Electrical system, which will reflect BS7671 wiring regulations.

If we feel something needs replacing we will ensure you have a full understanding of why it needs replacing and will be able to give you the regulation number, so you can check for yourself.

Alternatively if we believe that something is safe to be in continued service, you can rest assured there is a regulation for that also.

For example just because a consumer unit doesn’t conform to the current edition of the regulations doesn’t mean it is not safe to remain in service, we would assess its safety by performing a condition report on your installation, if that is satisfactory, and the unit doesn’t show any signs of thermal damage, there are no large holes in the casing, the circuit breakers are correct for the types of circuits, you have additional 30mA protection for your socket outlets, and you have automatic disconnection of service during an earth fault in co-ordination with overcurrent protection …… it sounds complicated but that’s why you have us come to confirm everything works !
