Exciting Opportunity for an Electronics Engineer Calibration and Maintenance

Rate: £26.04PH or £35PH via an Umbrella company

Location: Bolton

Duration: 12-months

This dynamic Electronics Engineer role at a leading UK defence company could be the perfect next step in your career.

About the Role

This Electronics Engineer position is a fantastic opportunity to join the Calibration and Maintenance team at this company. As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE). Your key duties will include fault finding, repair, routine calibrations, and commissioning of test equipment.

You will work alongside an experienced team of Calibration and Maintenance Engineers, supporting complex test platforms in the manufacture and testing of advanced missile systems. This is a chance to develop your skills in calibrating and supporting a range of technologies, from DC to Microwave.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for this Electronics Engineer role will have the following qualifications and experience:

Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Experience and knowledge in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level

Ability to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice and guidance

Good understanding of calibration principles and processes

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor your approach to different audiencesExperience of working on Environmental Chambers would be an advantage.
