The Korg KARMA is a music workstation synthesizer notable for its KARMA (Kay Algorithmic Real-time Music Architecture) technology developed by Stephen Kay. It's essentially a specialized version of the Korg Triton, (without sampling) but incorporating the unique KARMA engine for real-time music generation and control. The KARMA technology allows for complex patterns and rhythmic variations to be generated and manipulated in real-time. SEE YOUTUBE VIDEO LINK
KARMA Technology: The core of the KARMA is its algorithmic real-time music architecture, which generates and modifies musical phrases and patterns in real-time.
Sound Engine: It uses the same HI (Hyper Integrated) synthesis engine found in the Korg Triton, based on sample playback.
Effects: Includes 5 insert effects, 2 master effects, and a 3-band master EQ.
Sequencer: Features a 16-track sequencer with a capacity of up to 200,000 notes.
Expansion: Can be expanded with optional EXB-PCM series boards for additional sounds and the EXB-MOSS DSP Synthesizer board for a different synthesis engine.
Real-time Control: The KARMA engine allows for extensive real-time control over generated patterns, making it a powerful tool for live performance and sound design.
In essence, the Korg KARMA is a powerful synthesizer workstation that combines the sound engine of the Triton with the unique real-time algorithmic capabilities of the KARMA technology, offering a different approach to music creation and performance
