Description
For sale is my Haibike Trekking Low step 2022. The Bike was bought in Feb 2023 to do a daily commute of 6 Miles from Haworth to Bingley and occasionally Crossflatts to Leeds on the Canal. The early morning ride from Haworth to Bingley was great but coming back in the rush hour was just too scary to be viable on the narrow windy roads back up to Haworth. Just used the bike for early morning weekend rides around Haworth and beyond.
566 miles on the clock. Very few marks/scratches. Before selling had the bike checked out at Community Focus Cycles in Haworth. A few things tightened, gears indexed to change smoothly and a new chain fitted although the old one had quite a lot of life left in it. Battery in A1 Charge condition ( Not left on bike when not in use.
Good things about this bike: Range of just over 60 miles (dependent on terrain). It eats up even the steepest of hills, very solidly built. Auto mode function works brilliantly. The bike still keeps you fit allowing you to choose how much help you require. Battery life is excellent and recharge time is not very long. Easy to get on and off due to low step. Great for country trails on decent paths.
Negative things: Not as manoeuvrable as a normal bike, Heavy and takes up a lot of room, Not suitable to go on a train, Yamaha electric motor can be whinny for short periods depending on use. Removing and putting back the battery is difficult to master.
Only thing not for sale in the pictures is the additional light on the handlebars. Spare tyre was provided by E Bikes Direct at my request as the bike was not properly set up on arrival and on my first ride the tyre was rubbing against the frame. Rather than send the bike back I just sat the tyre properly and put some primer and paint over the area which had been effected. It is almost impossible to notice. A few marks on the main display and the odd scratch on the frame. Charger included although not in the pictures.
Bike is security marked for Bike Register.
Best use for this bike in my opinion is long commutes on cycle lanes or wide roads, anywhere hilly that is safe, country trails with decent paths. Priced to sell. ( No traders please)
