Whitney XT5 drum kit

I am selling my Nesting Penguin XT5 kit. It is built by an American builder, JT Whitney; he has been building for about 15+ years seems to be not very well known, especially here in the UK. If you've not come across his kits before, you may find his website interesting (whitneydrums).

What appealed to me is the very clever and unique design. These drums are very compact to transport (all toms & snare nest inside the bass), are amazingly lightweight, and have a larger internal diameter than traditional shells of the same head size. As a result they sound awesome; lovely tone and long sustain.

The shells look absolutely stunning too, and are in excellent condition. They come with the original Aquarian heads, still in good condition. The drums have their own stands, including booms for crash & ride, which come with a Pearl wheeled hardware bag. All 5 shells fit in to a single padded Ahead bag, which includes fleece blankets for protection.

The price new in the US for the XT5 is 3894 dollars. By the time you ship to the UK and pay import and VAT duties, I estimate it is approx. GBP3900. I am asking for £1850 plus shipping but am open to reasonable offers and would prefer face-to-face collection / delivery rather than risk damage in shipping.
