Description
Stunning 1960s Ajax Drum kit in Mardis Gras. 20" 12" 16" and 14" parallel action snare. Very interesting history. This had been stored for many years ( on HMS Unicorn,) and was basically just very dirty. It was stripped, cleaned, polished . All original other than the clamp on spurs . It comes with the "big bumper" which is very rare, It is missing one bracket which is being made. So I use dw clamp on spurs which are included. No tom mount fitted , which leaves two small holes not noticeable in the wrap, I used a snare stand for the tom which is not included. New Aquarian batter heads fitted all round with the original calf skins on the resonant sides, which was how it was found, it gives it a lovely warm round tone. A lovely vintage kit which is ready to use .
