Description
HGV Class 1 Driver
Our client, Peart Fencing, is an established, specialist manufacturer of commercial steel fencing products which include mesh panel systems, decorative railings, pedestrian barriers, palisade security fencing and gates. Well positioned within the industry for the design and manufacture of high-end quality products and bespoke fencing solutions.
The Role:
Driving one of their articulated vehicles (44t Artic or 26t Rigid) delivering fencing products to commercial clients nationwide (no domestic deliveries).Loading and unloading vehicles and trailers.Keeping your vehicle clean and tidy, ensuring a professional appearance is maintained.
The Person:
Reliable and punctual.Organised and self-motivated.Friendly, approachable and able to build relationships with repeat customers.
Statutory Requirements:
Class 1 driving licence (C+E) – 2 years Class 1 driving experience required as a minimum.Digital Tachograph Card.CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).Hiab Moffett experience.Forklift license.
Whilst experience is an advantage, our client would be willing to support for the right candidate:
Forklift license training.Hiab Moffet training.
Salary and Hours:
Monday – Friday; No weekend work required.Full time and Part time applications will be considered.On average 2 overnight stays per week, however this may occasionally vary dependent on business needs.Salary: £14.50 per hour + Additional overnight stay rate @ £26.20 per night
