Contract Buyer
Gloucester
£20 - £38 p/h (PAYE or Umbrella available)
Contract Buyer required by industry leading engineering company, which is busy and growing. The successful Contract Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and selecting new suppliers and managing existing supplier performance.
Main Duties: -Contract Buyer
Raising requests for quotation and purchase orders.
Supporting with demand, supply and fulfilment planning.
Managing stock levels and purchasing in line with manufacturing demands.
Ensuring that information within the ERP system is up to date.
Liaising with the engineering team and providing updates.
Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating contracts and cost savings.
Managing lead times and monitoring supplier performance.
Sourcing new suppliers and managing the supplier on boarding process.
Meeting with suppliers to resolve performance issues.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:- Contract Buyer
Previous purchasing experience gained in an engineering or manufacturing or equivalent environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Analytical with an aptitude for figures.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
If you are already a Buyer, Procurement Officer, Procurement Specialist, you may also be suitable for this role.
