Description

Build Technician – 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Shoreham-By-Sea

Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon–Wed 06:30–16:30, Thurs 06:30–16:00)

Salary: £24,500 – £26,500 pro rata per annum

Contract: 6-month FTC

Are you a hands-on, detail-focused technician with a background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic assembly? A leading engineering business is looking for a Build Technician to support production operations at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

This role is ideal for someone based in or around Shoreham-by-Sea, Brighton, Hove, Steyning or Worthing and looking to further their skills in a collaborative, high-tech environment.

The Role:

*

Carry out assembly operations following detailed instructions via a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

*

Work across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to build sub-assemblies and complete products.

*

Conduct end-of-line tests to ensure products meet performance and quality standards.

*

Maintain consistent throughput while adhering to safety and quality standards.

*

Rotate between workstations and contribute to a flexible and efficient team dynamic.

*

Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.

*

Take part in training and support continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience:

*

Experience in a similar build, assembly, or technician role within a manufacturing or production environment.

*

Confident using hand tools and following detailed build instructions.

*

Good communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.

*

High attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

*

Team-oriented with a proactive work attitude.
