Mid 20th Century Period Piece
Vintage Meredew Chest Of Drawers Mid Century Teak Wood Tall Boy 60s 70s
We are delighted to offer this rather handsome vintage tall boy chest of drawers. Made by Meredew of Letchworth, Hertfordshire, England. A gorgeous piece of Mid 20th Century interior design. A late 1960's early 70’s chest in a honey coloured teak wood. Cigar shaped & recessed solid wood handle. The build quality & materials are equivalent to the G-plan & Ercol pieces of the same era! This chest was part of a range designed by Alphons Loebenstein & Peter Lilley. It has 6 good sized drawers in a two over four arrangement & graduating in size. Meredew maker badge on the inside left top drawer. A very usable piece for today’s modern life style. It would make a great authentic addition to a mid century interior design scheme. In excellent pre-loved condition. Does have some very minor surface scuffs/age related bumps, drawers all function well & No major damage! Its style & design are typical of its period & would date nicely to the late 1960's early 1970's.
Overall in excellent display/usable solid condition chest with lots of vintage charm.
It would make a fabulous interior design statement . . .
Superb quality!
