circa late 1950's.
We are delighted to offer this fabulous vintage Sapele wood chest of drawers. Designed & made by Nissenbaum & Sons, a chest of of superb quality. Mid 20th Century modern period piece in an amber gold flame grain Sapele wood, solid teak wood dove tail drawer liners & polished aluminum arched drawer handles. This well built piece of furniture was once military issue, as it's clearly hot stamped with a ' Crows Foot ' to the back panel. Two over three drawer arrangement with ample storage & original working lock & key to top right drawer. All drawers run freely & frame is solid. Cross grain edge to top & top back edge gallery rail. A very usable chest for today’s modern life style. This piece would make for a great authentic addition to any mid century or contemporary interior design scheme. It's style & design are typical of it's vintage period & would date nicely to the late 1950's early 1960's. It comes directly from a recent grand estate sale & is sold in superb as found vintage condition. This is a genuine vintage example so has some very minor age related surface scuffs & light dinks. Please study the pictures for more details. Overall in excellent display usable solid condition with lots of stylish vintage charm. It's been properly cleaned inside & out, teak oiled & so is now ready to love, use & enjoy once more.
