Description
A simply stunning 1970s chest of drawers by Meredew Furniture.
These large Meredew chests are very hard to find and offer lots of stylish storage, this brutalist design is one of the hardest to find.
A really nice example, beautiful teak finish with nicely styled round handles, sled legs and a curved lip top the top edge.
The chest is in good condition for its age, it has been loved and well cared for, it's really clean and looks great. There are a couple of small marks but nothing unusual for an item 55 years old and can be re-oiled by new owner if desired.
The joints are all good and solid, the teak is very good, strong colour and grain. The chest sits well and have no wobbles.
A great piece with high very quality craftsmanship. Dovetailed joints. All of the drawers move smoothly.
