Description
Fantastic painted large Antique chest of drawers. With original dovetail joints. Navy blue colour . Reluctantly selling this family heirloom due to downsizing.
Very heavy as solid wood. Also both sides have intricate floral inlay on both sides.
dovetail joints were used in the 17th century and carried out by hand until late 19th century. genuine handmade dovetails like this were standard of good furniture until 1870. joints add extreme strength to the drawer box joints.
