Live-In Housekeeper/Cook
Near Burford
£40,000 to £45,000 pa
2-bedroom cottage provided (utility bills included)
5 days per week (weekend availability required)
The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be supporting a private household in their search for an experienced and professional Live-In Housekeeper/ Cook.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who takes pride in high standards of housekeeping, enjoys cooking, and appreciates the variety that comes with supporting a well-run home.
Key Responsibilities:
General housekeeping and daily cleaning duties
Cooking for the family and guests, must be confident preparing meals for groups of up to 12-15 people
Meal planning, grocery shopping and kitchen organisation
Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate and high-value garments
Wardrobe management, including couture clothing
House sitting when the family are away
Packing and unpacking assistance for family travel
Liaising with maintenance companies
Care and cleaning of antiques, silver, and fine furnishings
Flower arranging and needlework, desirable but not essential
Pet care, the family have dogs and cats
Candidate Requirements:
5 years’ experience as a private Housekeeper/ Cook
Must be a car driver with own vehicle
Highly organised, discreet and reliable
Strong communication skills
Confident working independently and taking initiative
