Live in Housekeeper/Cook based in Westminster, London

We are seeking a full-time Housekeeper/Cook to join a family with two school-aged children to assist with household management, family cooking, and occasional childcare.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, roughly 7am - 7pm, with a 3-hour break during the day
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 gross per annum

Overview

This role combines traditional housekeeping with light childcare for a 3- and 5-year-old. The household values home-cooked meals from scratch, a well-maintained and organised home, and occasional flexibility for cooking for dinner parties.

The children attend school full-time, and Mum and Dad generally take care of the children, but may require you to step in from time to time to do the odd school run (20 minute walk) or play with the children.

The family have a house in the countryside which they visit most weekends, you may be required to accompany the children by train on a Friday afternoon, but you will return to London the same day.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Preparing and serving 3 family meals a day(traditional European cuisine, open to some new ideas)
Grocery shopping and kitchen management
Full household laundry, including bed linen changes
Household organisation and oversight of maintenance people
Occasional school runs/ afternoon children
Setting and clearing the table for family meals, loading/unloading dishwasher
Assisting with occasional dinner parties - cooking, serving and tidying up
Occasional babysitting

Key criteria

Strong work ethic and high attention to detail

Comfortable with traditional European cooking from scratch (bread machine, salads, soups, fresh fish, pasta, etc.)
