Description
Very loyal stunning Kennel Club Registered 20 month old Silver Labrador (Silver retrievers come through the Chocolate Labrador line only)
She is not neutered, but is currently booked in to be spayed on 01/09/25.
We recently rehomed Roxy ourselves, but sadly were not told honestly how much training she still needs - she has major separation anxiety. Both my husband and I work, and while she would not have been left for excessive periods of time, she struggles to be in a different room to us let along be left home alone.
The deal breaker with her for us is, our cats. She has a fixation on cats, small dogs and birds. We have 2 young cats who were here first and she fixates, lunges and tries to catch the cats. (The cats were brought up with a previous Labrador and while they aren’t overly concerned, for us humans the safety of all three animals is paramount)
The ideal home for Roxy is someone who is home/about all day and who is able to spend time training her as she has such a very very loving and loyal temperament, and just wants (needs) company, love and affection.
She came from a family environment and enjoys the company of other dogs (but we have found out definitely not small/cat sized dogs)
She is extremely friendly, strong (both physically and emotionally) and needs trained on some of the basics (not jumping up to greet you as well as recall, not pulling when walking and other commands). She is extremely quick to pick up on things and has come on leaps and bounds during the time we have had her, but also can be stubborn - but then being 20 months she is in her stroppy teenager phase!!
If you gave got this far without being put off, please get in touch and I’ll be more than happy to be 100% honest with you (sadly we weren’t given all the facts). I am disabled and use crutches and don’t feel safe walking her on my own as she is extremely strong and currently zones out when fixating on something,
