Antique Oak Farmhouse Kitchen Dining Table - Plank Top - Scrub Top

Description

A fabulous farmhouse oak plank top kitchen dining table with turned legs. The oak top has faded to a beautiful weathered light creamy grey colour, it currently has no finish on it, so you could either leave it as a scrub top or apply an oil or wax to give it protection. This table does not come apart, except for the ends of the legs(approx 5cm), which may make it easier to get through doorways. This is a good sized table to comfortably seat 4, but it should seat 6 at a push dependant on your chair widths.

In lovely condition for its age, being strong and structurally sound. Top plank top is in good condition with age related marks and crevices between planks which have some historic filler. The table would originally have been on casters, but as these were missing when we bought it we have added small turned supports on the bottom of the legs to make up the height, these have been stained and are a good match for the legs, these can be unscrewed easily if you wish to make to table smaller in order to fit it through doorways. There's some evidence of historic woodworm, but this doesn't compromise the strength of the table and we've treated it to ensure that none is active. A small section of one of the turned legs has cracked off at some point and been glued back on, this doesn't effect the strength of the leg, there's a few small chips out of this piece.
