Description
Vintage Teak Bureau Egon Ostergaard For MSI Sweden Roll Top Mid-Century Desk
This stunning bureau has a great mid-century look and is in good solid condition - it is ready for use. Designed by Egon Ostergaard for SMI (Sveriges Möbelindustriförbund)(Swedish Furniture Industry Association) it is finished in Teak throughout with a lovely varying colour. The top section has a domed roll top with attractive chevron veneer, opening to reveal a pigeonhole storage and three small drawers. There is a surface below this section that pulls out to be a large writing surface, below this the three spacious drawers each have a pair of pretty inset handles. There are some signs of use in places, including some marks, scratches, and a couple of spots of damage on the drawers. Please see photos for full detail of condition. There is a key present, it locks both the drawer and the roll top, however the lock on the roll top can be a little difficult to lock & requires double locking to work.
Approximate measurements are 38 1/4" (97.5cm) tall, 35 1/2" (90.5cm) wide and 17 1/4" (44cm) deep.
