Textile Recycling Driver / Collections Operative

Description

We are seeking a reliable, motivated and physically fit Driver/Collector to join our

logistics team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for visiting a designated

route of textile recycling banks, collecting donated items, and ensuring timely delivery to

our central depot. You will also help maintain the condition and cleanliness of our

clothing banks, supporting our mission to deliver an efficient, respectful, and professional

service to the community.

- Operate a company vehicle to collect textiles from clothing banks and household

collection points on a daily route

- Safely load and unload bags of clothing (manual handling involved)

- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance issues

- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the textile banks on your route

- Use handheld collection devices to track collections and update route information

- Communicate with the operations team and follow set collection schedules

- Ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism while representing the

company

- Work flexibly and adapt to changes in route planning or workload as needed

- Support the wider team during busy periods or when assistance is required

What We’re Looking For

- Full UK driving licence (clean or with minimal endorsements) – essential

- Proven experience in driving or delivery roles preferred

- Comfortable with physical work

- Strong time management and ability to work independently

- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional attitude

- Good communication skills and a team-player mentality

- Willingness to work in all weather conditions

This role involves regular manual handling, operating in outdoor environments, and

working to daily time-sensitive schedules. A good level of physical fitness and a proactive

approach are essential. May involve occasional weekend work.
