So, where to start... I bought this little car from a main dealer with an ever so slight misfire but seemed to run OK. I have had a service done including spark plugs but it hasn't fixed it so I'm at a bit of a loss. It's now on here below trade price for someone who fancies tinkering. It drive's fine, in fact I did 30 miles in it collecting it from the dealer. However, the engine light is on and there is a knocking from the front suspension. It doesn't smoke when ticking over either but it hasn't been workshop inspected or valeted. It's only had 2 owners and the last owner has had it for nearly 8 years, it's definitely not been a taxi and it has good tread on all 4 tyres. Warranty:
Obviously buying from any dealer means you are entitled to a warranty on your vehicle. However, there are certain criteria that you should consider: Firstly, the older the car is the less the warranty will cover. Also, it is totally within the realms of possibility that an older and higher mileage car may have certain things wrong with it so please bear this in mind when buying. A 10 year old car with 100,000 miles may have an oil leak or even some marks on the paintwork etc.
