Are you an experienced Service Manager or Team Leader in Adult Social Care with a passion for Autism and Learning Disabilities?

Winlight Recruitment is working in partnership with a London local authority to appoint a Team Manager to lead day centre services for adults with complex needs and autism.

Team Manager – Adults Day Services (Autism & Learning Disabilities)

Location: Brent, London

Contract: Full-Time | Agency Contract

Rate: £35–£40 per hour (Umbrella)

Duration: 3–6 Months (Likely extension)

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

You will take operational leadership of two busy day centres, managing a multidisciplinary team of up to 48 staff, including Team Leaders, Community Support Workers, and Admin Support. The role focuses on service innovation, autism strategy, and delivering personalised, outcome-based support for service users.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage daily operations across two adult day centres.

* Line manages 4 Team Leaders and oversees staff supervision, development, and performance.

* Design and implement person-centred programmes that develop life skills and promote independence.

* Drive autism strategy across services and maintain accreditation standards.

* Build external partnerships and identify funding opportunities for service development.

* Manage budgets effectively and ensure all services operate within policy, safeguarding, and health & safety frameworks.

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

* Extensive experience working with adults with autism and learning disabilities.

* Proven background in managing adult day services or direct care provision.

* Knowledge of personalisation, safeguarding, positive behaviour support, and autism-specific frameworks.

* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
