Quality Technician

Aston Clinton (HP22)

Rotating Shifts (Including both days and nights)

Starting salary £26,600 + Full Training, Excellent Benefits & Development Opportunities

At ALPLA, we stand for high-quality plastic packaging throughout the world. Around 22,000 colleagues produce quality packaging for foodstuffs, cosmetics and industrial cleaning brands for many blue chip clients across 182 ALPLA sites in 46 countries.

You will join an established Quality Team and will be responsible for ensuring that all moulding production is set-up in line with Company quality procedures and standards for first off running and that all necessary QC lab routines and product testing (random and routine) is undertaken and recorded both manually and via computer system.

Monitor both raw material and recycled materials used prior to and in use of production.

* Carry out quality checks on products coming off production line to ensure they are of the highest quality.

* Helping to ensure customer specifications are met and maintained.

* To carry out daily/weekly checks on QC equipment

* Carry out routine quality and colour checks on machines.

* Isolate non-conforming bottles and accurately record this.

* Ensure that all activities in quality department are carried out in accordance with health and safety and hygiene standards on site.

* Ensure that all activities in the quality department are carried out in accordance with ISO standard on site.

* To ensure paperwork are filled in correctly

* Report any health and safety concerns

* To perform any other duties in connection with the operation of providing good quality product that may from time to time be reasonably required by the QC Co-Ordinator and are consistent with the “main purpose of the job”

Experience Required:

* Previous role within a Quality / Compliance / Testing position within a manufacturing environment – Advantageous not essential as full training is provided

* Methodical approach and exceptional attention to detail

* Competent with IT systems

* Organised and able to communicate results effectively

* Awareness and knowledge of food safety policies
