Job Title: SME Insurance Account Handler

Location: South Yorkshire

Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience)

We’re working with a well-regarded independent insurance broker that has been serving clients for over 15 years. With a team of 10 people in the office, they’ve built a reputation for their personable approach and expertise across all classes of commercial insurance. About the Role

You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME commercial clients, typically handling premiums in the £2,000 – £4,000 range. Working across all classes of commercial insurance, you’ll provide professional advice, ensure seamless service delivery, and support the growth of the business by strengthening client relationships.

Day-to-day handling of SME commercial accounts across multiple sectors

Preparing and processing renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business enquiries

Negotiating terms with insurers and underwriters to secure the best outcomes for clients

Providing high levels of client service and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations

Efficiently managing cases using ActurisAbout You:

Previous experience as an Account Handler within commercial insurance (SME focus preferred)

Solid knowledge of all classes of commercial insurance including property, liability, fleet, and combined policies

Proficient user of Acturis.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

Team player with a client-first approach and attention to detail
