Description
A traditional vintage Bulgarian ceramic mug known as Troyan pottery or ceramics. It dates back to the 1960s and gets its name from the town in which these renowned ceramics are created. It is made from a rich red clay which is unique to the region and that gives it its stunning colour when fired. The distinctive decoration features a slipware glaze with a drip and comb design. They are often found in colours such as ecru, caramel, black and blue.
It is in excellent overall condition although there is a very small chip on the rim.
11cm tall.
