Role – Building Surveyor

Salary – GBP40,000 – GBP65,000 + Bonuses

Our client are a rapidly expanding private family owned and run firm of RICS Regulated Surveyors specialising in residential survey and valuation work.

We are currently seeking qualified RICS surveyors in a number of key locations throughout England.

Successful candidates would be undertaking RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys, specific defect analysis reports and some private valuation work. It should be noted that the majority of instructions, are condition surveys. Only a small percentage of instructions are involving valuation work.

Successful candidates would be home–based and would travel from home to the instruction. Every effort is undertaken to ensure driving is kept to a minimum and generally jobs would not be more than an hour drive from their base.

The surveyor will be responsible for undertaking a maximum of two inspections per day. We work to a daily fee target and if that fee is satisfied by one inspection the surveyor will only be asked to undertake one inspection that day. If the surveyor s weekly five day target is met in less than five days afternoons or full days without survey inspections are also implemented.

Turnaround times for delivery of reports are five working days for Level 2 surveys, specific defect analysis and evaluation instructions and seven working days for RICS level three reports which gives the surveyor plenty of time to reflect prior to issuing the report.

The firm uses the latest highly integrated software to enable a seamless report writing and delivery solution which reduces admin time for the surveyor by keeping report writing and date collection times to a minimum.

The firm offers very competitive basic rates of pay which are location and experience Specific. These range from GBP40,000–GBP65,000. In addition there is a guaranteed monthly commission scheme. On target earnings range from GBP55,000–GBP100,000 Private healthcare and pension contributions are included together with some CPD and mileage at the maximum tax free HMRC rate.
