Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Repairs & Maintenance

Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

Salary: 50,000 – 60,000

Contract: Full–time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a dedicated and detail–oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Welwyn Garden City, with a strong focus on repairs and maintenance in the social housing sector.

About the Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of repairs and maintenance contracts. You'll work closely with our operations and finance teams to ensure the delivery of cost–effective solutions, accurate reporting, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all commercial aspects of housing repairs and maintenance projects

Prepare valuations, cost reports, and forecasts

Monitor contract progress and ensure profitability

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

Assist in tender processes and contract negotiations

Ensure compliance with National Housing Federation (NHF) Schedule of Rates

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in repairs and maintenance, preferably within social housing

Strong understanding of the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost reporting tools

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred)
