Salary: 26,685 to 29,079 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full time – 37 Hours Per Week

About the Role:

As an Allocation Officer, you will play a vital part in helping vulnerable households find safe and suitable temporary accommodation. You'll be the first point of contact for placements, ensuring our properties are efficiently matched to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for matching clients to appropriate temporary accommodation, and coordinating sign–ups and managing rent account set–up along with:

Liaising with providers to ensure compliance and property standardsSupporting clients with housing benefit applicationsMonitoring voids, transfers, rent arrears and tenancy issuesActing as a point of contact for landlords and clients in temporary accommodationCollaborating with internal teams to support clients moving into permanent housingAbout you:

To be competent in this role it is essential that you are customer–focused with excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with:

Being organised and detail–oriented and able to manage a fast–paced workloadBeing Team–oriented, but confident working independentlyBeing experienced working with the public or within a housing environmentHaving knowledge about housing standards, tenancy issues, and housing benefits is a plus!It is essential that you have GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent, strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) and have proven experience working in a customer service or housing–related role.
