MMP Consultancy is currently seeking a Assistant Director of Compliance for a long–term interim contract paying 700 per day (Inside IR35) – covering South London.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Compliance. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Council's compliance with all statutory and non–statutory duties and obligations, while driving forward a strategy to maintain the highest standards of building regulation compliance.

Overview

As Assistant Director of Compliance, you will be accountable for leading our team in delivering exceptional results, while promoting a culture of excellence, integrity, and collaboration. You will be the primary point of contact for all property statutory compliance areas, general business Health & Safety matters, and will advise senior managers, directors, and members on compliance matters. You will also lead the implementation and management of Building Safer Futures legislation, Regulatory Reform Order legislation, and other relevant legislation.

Required Skills

Proven experience in compliance and regulatory affairs, with a strong understanding of statutory and non–statutory duties and obligationsExcellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to coach and mentor a diverse teamStrong analytical and problem–solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholdersStrong knowledge of building safety regulations, health and safety, and CDMAbility to develop and implement robust monitoring and key performance indicators, quality management systems, and budgetary controlNice to Have Skills

Experience in leading a team responsible for higher risk buildingsKnowledge of the Social Housing Regulator and Building Safety RegulatorExperience in developing and implementing long–term policies and strategiesStrong commercial awareness and ability to apply value for money principlesExperience in Equality, Diversity and inclusion and the Council's ValuesPreferred Education and Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance and regulatory affairs, with a strong track record of delivering resultsExperience in a similar role in a local authority or similar organization
