Asset Disposals Manager

North East England (Gosforth/Stanley area – hybrid)

49,770 + 2,317 car allowance (flexible)

Permanent Full–time

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected housing provider in the North East for an experienced Asset Disposals Manager. This is a permanent opportunity to lead on the strategic disposal of housing assets, statutory sales, and leasehold transactions, while managing a small, high–performing team.

You'll drive the asset disposals programme, delivering a compliant, cost–effective, and customer–focused service that meets regulatory requirements and achieves ambitious performance targets.

Key Responsibilities of the Asset Disposals Manager:

Lead on the disposal of existing assets, leasehold properties, and strategic landOversee statutory sales, including Right to Buy, Right to Acquire, and shared ownershipManage leasehold re–sales, staircasing, lease extensions, and enfranchisementProvide expert guidance on all disposal–related matters, including covenant adviceEnsure compliance with legal, regulatory and Homes England reporting requirementsAppoint and coordinate legal advisors and consultantsDeliver an excellent customer journey throughout the sales and disposals processTrack and report on KPIs, performance forecasting, and regulatory returnsSupervise a team of three, promoting continuous improvement and high levels of service

Requirements of the Asset Disposals Manager:

Strong experience in asset disposals, property sales, and leasehold managementIn–depth knowledge of housing legislation, shared ownership, and conveyancingProven track record of managing high–volume sales programmesExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skillsA relevant housing qualification or equivalent practical experienceFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
