Solid Teak Early 1970's Genuine G-Plan Glass Topped Teardrop Coffee Table
Taunton, Somerset
£450
Description
Hello, and thanks for looking
This is a lovely piece of furniture that is sure to add a special something to its new home.
The solid teak has an intriguing grain which changes with the light and the angle one views it at. I have posted a few photos showing it in different lights in an attempt to convey this.
Overall condition is very good if not excellent, and commensurate with the age of the item, again I have uploaded detailed photos to show as much as possible.
The light scratches on the removeable glass top are to be expected and are hardly noticeable unless bright light is applied, or early morning sunshine, as is the case in the photos I have included. There are no cracks or dings at all.
I am told it was purchased new by my late great grandmother in Plymouth in about 1974, as a new home gift for my parents.. and has been a constant eyecatching feature in their living room ever since, until recently. I remember being small enough to crawl under it, but that was some time ago.!
It has recently had a light refurb and been professionally resealed with linseed oil and Rust-Oleum clear finishing wax.. another coat of wax and a buffing would add much more sheen, but I think the current slightly matte finish suits it very well.
Dimensions are as follows - Length 131cm Width 63cm Height 41cm
Delivery with a reasonable fuel charge might be possible by arrangement, message me perhaps..
Sensible offers will be considered..
Thanks again for looking, all the best.
