Description
There's really not much else like it! Stovetop espresso machine, meaning you can easily take it with you when travelling. It uses a clever dual water tank to provide steam pressure, with a carefully calibrated spring to ensure the brew chamber is at optimal temperature when the pressure has built up sufficiently (7 minutes on the hob is meant to be optimal). It whistles when it's ready. Once you've got the hang of an appropriate grind size and hob heat level it makes a really good espresso. You need a decent grinder to get the best out of it, as with all decent espresso machines.
Careful use is important - parts of the machine get very hot - rule of thumb is to not touch any metal parts once heating, black plastic parts only. Care to not miss a stage is essential too - missing water in the bottom section, brew chamber, coffee in the basket, tap shut before heating - any of these will be mildly to majorly disastrous.
Selling as I no longer use it much - I don't travel much with my current job. It doesn't work great on my hob either - the flames are either heating it too slowly, or lapping the edge of the machine body, which seems unsafe and unwise. Should be much better on a more modern hob (or electric!)
It's in fairly good condition, have used it a fair amount but not excessively. No instructions, but they're available as a pdf online, and there's some great YouTube videos.
Tamper included.
Can post for an additional £10
