Are you looking for extra support to help your child build confidence in reading, writing, numeracy, or general schoolwork?

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher working in East Renfrewshire with tutoring availability Monday-Friday evenings and at weekends. I am also available over the summer. I will work with your child in the comfort of your own home.

I am fully registered with the General Teaching Council (Scotland) and I hold a PVG.

I offer personalised tutoring following the Curriculum for Excellence, tailored to meet your child’s individual needs and learning style.

Subjects covered include:
• Early reading and phonics
• Writing and spelling
• Numeracy and mathematics
• Confidence building and study skills
• Support for additional needs and EAL learners

When working with a student, I begin by building a relationship and establishing some baseline measurements. These are usually focused on Literacy and Numeracy e.g spelling ages, numeracy levels etc but can be focused on whatever the student's needs are. This gives us a foundation with which we can measure progress. Combined with your own observations, I can then build a programme that will help the student progress.

I am friendly and approachable and try to make all sessions as fun and engaging as possible. I can also set tasks to be completed if desired.
