Description
Very fine mid 18th century oak 'mule' or 'dower' type blanket chest.
very unusual elaborate arcaded fielded panelled front.
Two drawers below with moulded fronts with mahogany crossbanding.
Original brass handles to the two drawers.
Shaped bracket feet.
Hinged top to chest revealing so called candle box at one end with pair of small drawers with original brass drop
handles below.
