Part-time Chef-led Housekeeper (light nanny duties) — West End Glasgow

We’re a busy household looking for someone kind, reliable, and food-minded to help keep our home running smoothly. The role mixes creative cooking, light after-school support for a school-age child, and housekeeping in a well-kept 3-bed flat.

Your main duties

Cooking

Plan & prepare nutritious, home-made meals on working days (covering weekday meals with batch cooking)
Variety of cuisines; vegetarian experience ideal but not required; occasional meat fine
Packed lunches for two (nut-free for school rules)
Try new recipes, use leftovers well, and keep waste low
Let us know if you’ve heard of or used Cherrypick for planning/ordering (not required)

After-school support

Experience with school-age children
Be in after school, provide snacks/dinner, check homework is being done, occasional park trip/game
School run only if we’re travelling for work

Housekeeping & pets

Daily tidy/clean, laundry/ironing, bed linen changes
Keep kitchen & cupboards organised
Take parcels in; occasional small errands
Two cats — feed, water, litter trays, quick hoover round

Hours & set-up

Live-out; guest room available for occasional overnight with notice
Preferred: Tue–Thu, 14:00–18:00 after-school cover + daytime prep to reach 22–27 hrs/week
If spread over Mon–Fri: must include 14:00–18:00 at least 3 days/week. Flexible for the right candidate.
Start date flexible; evenings/weekends rare; extra hours by agreement (overtime or TOIL)

Friendly, calm, organised
Loves cooking and can plan ahead
Trustworthy with a pre-teen and a home
Another language or a soft spot for cats is a bonus
