For sale very rare Ercol Grandfather rocking chairs (model 315) designed by Lucian Ercolani as a celebration of ‘Windsor’ chair maker in High Wycombe during the late 60’s.
Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. It is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). This is a real eye catching piece of vintage, retro furniture which no longer in production.
This piece is of the usual high quality one expects from this manufacturer. The saddle seat is of solid English elm and the steam bent frame and armrests are of beech. The chair is finished in an Ercol ‘Old Colonial Finish’ and a matt protective lacquer. This piece still retains original label.
Size of the chair (approximately):
Height: 37” (95cm)
Width: 30” (76.5cm)
Depth: 31” (80cm)
Seat Height: 13” (33cm)
The rocking chair is in very good vintage (original) condition with some light marks commensurate with age and use. It is free of any damage or repairs. The chair is sturdy with no loose joints or spindles and no separation to the elm seat. It has been cleaned and waxed.
